According to the organisational chart, ICIQ is structured into two main areas: Research, led by the Director, Prof. Emilio J. Palomares Gil, and Management, headed by Dr Imma Escofet.
Research Area
The research area encompasses 19 independent research groups, each led by a principal investigator. Additionally, this area includes two associated researchers and two junior leaders. It also integrates the Department of Knowledge and Technology Transfer and Industrial Projects (KTT), which fosters collaboration with industry and the practical application of scientific discoveries.
Management Area
The management area is organised into three main departments, including the Departments of Characterization Technologies and Reaction Technologies and the Finance Department. In parallel, six complementary units focus on key tasks, such as Research Projects and International Collaborations, SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality), Human Resources, Maintenance, IT, and Impact, Communication, and Strategy.
