Yuanyuan Shi, former ICIQ PhD student under Antoni Llobet’s supervision, has been awarded the 2018 Electron Device Society excellent PhD student award in the EDS awards ceremony last week in San Francisco, which was held in conjunction with the 2018 International Electron Devices Meeting.

Starting from 2001, three winners are selected worldwide to receive the Electron Device Society excellent PhD student award each year to promote, recognize and support PhD level study and research within the EDS field. This has been the first time that a student from a Spanish institution receives this award. The other 2018 awardees have been Chen Jiang, from University of Cambridge, and Junkai Jiang, from University of California, and who shared the stage with Shi.
