Professor Kilian Muñiz has received the 20th Yoshida Lectureship from the International Organic Chemistry Foundation (IOCF) in Japan. The IOCF was founded by Emeritus Professor Zen-ichi Yoshida and promotes lectures by eminent overseas organic chemists. Professor Muñiz gave his award lecture “Enantioselective and Light-Induced Oxidation Reactions Based on Iodine Redox Catalysis” at the Universities of Kyoto and Osaka on April 22nd and 23rd, respectively.
“I still remember how I first met Professor Yoshida at the occasion of the 2000 IKCOC conference in Kyoto. Receiving this lectureship award means a great honour and brings back a lot of wonderful memories from that time” -says Kilian Muñiz.
