The Polymorphism R&D Unit of the ICIQ has successfully implemented a quality management system which fulfills the requirements of the internationally recognized standard ISO 9001:2000. The accreditation by IQNet and AENOR was obtained last December, and the formal ceremony of delivery of the certificate took place on February 22nd with the presence of ángel Sánchez Robles, director of the AENOR office in Catalonia.

The implementation of this quality system will improve the management of the research and development projects, performed by the unit with the pharmaceutical industry, related to the solid state (polymorphism, salt selection and co-crystals) of active pharmaceutical compounds.
