Under the leitmotiv “Research for change” Tarragona’s Corsini square will host the main event of European Researchers’ Night on September 30. More than 150 researchers from Rovira i Virgili University and other research institutions participate in this international event for scientific dissemination.
The event is coordinated and organized by the Rovira i Virgili University with the collaboration of the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ),Catalan Institute of Classical Archeology (ICAC), the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute (IISPV) and the Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (IPHES).
The project is funded by the European Union and for the first time includes the largest number of activities. The main activity will be the Fair of Scientific Workshops, where people will find more than 40 workshops from different knowledge areas. The proposal seeks to foster relationship between society and research community through ludic research activities.
ICIQ will participate with four proposals on supramolecular chemistry, discovering the effects of CO2, the CO2 in the oceans and the trade of glass blowing.
Besides this Scientific Workshop Fair other activities are scheduled such as the scientific route on the chemist Antoni de Martí i Franquès, activities for high school students and an exhibition on human castles and science.
