Nikolaos Psathogiannakis
Nikolaos studied chemistry at the University of Patras focusing on organic chemistry. Consequently, he decided to join the research group of Associate Professor Gerasimos Rassias and undertake the project “Development of regioselective Heck reactions employing allylic amine derivatives” for his undergraduate research diploma thesis. He has been a graduate student in drug discovery and development at the University of Patras’ Department of Pharmacy since October 2021, working under the direction of Associate Professor Manolis Fousteris. His initial research project was “Synthesis of new Ν-Heterocyclic steroidal derivatives” with potential pharmacological activity, but due to the failure of the experiments his research project changed to “Synthesis of new PROTACs for the degradation of the Androgenic Receptor”.
