Nurdana Orynbek
Currently, she is a first-year Master’s student at AgroParisTech under the University of Paris-Saclay, following the course of “Biological and Chemical Engineering for Sustainable Bioeconomy” (also known as Erasmus Mundus BIOCEB). As of her previous relevant research and professional experience, she was an intern at a biological lab of Kazakhstan National University, where they were working on creating and testing geroprotectors in experiment. In addition, she also worked as a chemistry lab technician at the National School of Water and Environmental Engineering of Strasbourg, where she assisted in the research project on “Algal-Bacterial processes for biomass production and wastewater treatment”. In addition, currently as a part of curriculum, she and her colleagues were working on the research project on the biotechnological production of aroma compounds using agro-industrial bio-waste (more specifically different types of whey) throughout this semester. She has also completed her internship in an environmental consulting company Sirius, where she was aiding with research, data collection and performing life cycle assessment.
