Ángel was a Severo Ochoa-La Caixa fellow. He got his B.Sc. at the Universidad de Huelva and his and M.Sc. at Universidad de Sevilla. In Huelva he studied under Prof. Pedro Perez’ supervision. Prof. Pérez and Prof. Maseras have had a steady collaboration for years, which will strengthen with Ángel’s work on reaction mechanisms in organometallic chemistry.

Ángel carried out a research project in the framework of ICIQ’s Severo Ochoa-La Caixa programme: “Facing global challenges with catalysis: Small molecules that can change our lives”.

Ángel got his PhD degree from the URV in January 2020.
