Oliwia Matuszewska

Visiting Student

Oliwia was born in Kraków (Poland) in 1992. She obtained her B.Sc. in 2014 and M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry 2016 at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, under the supervision of Prof. T. Holak, working on the synthesis of small molecule inhibitors of p53 and MDM2 proteins. In January 2017, she started her Ph.D. Cardiff University (United Kingdom) under the supervision of Prof. Davide Bonifazi. Her research is focused on synthesis of photoactive organic molecules that can be used in artificial light harvesting antenna systems. She is a visiting student at the Melchiorre group from September till October 2019. In her free time, she likes to read fantasy books, travel and hang out with friends.
