Daniel graduated as a chemical engineer specialised in organic chemistry and synthesis at Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2015. Later, he worked in the pharma industry for 4 years as an R&D chemist and project leader. Within this time, he was responsible for a variety of projects: from small molecule and library synthesis through route scouting to process optimisation for large scale synthesis. Later, he obtained his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Eszter Borbas at Uppsala University. His research field was the synthesis and characterisation of luminescent lanthanide complexes. Beyond the design and synthesis, he focused on the fundamental understanding of energy and electron transfer processes in such systems. Due to the multidisciplinary field he has got familiar with fluorescent spectroscopy, paramagnetic NMR and some electrochemical characterisation, too.
