Gabriela obtained her Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry and her PhD degree in Computational Chemistry at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). She has extensive experience in ab initio calculations, molecular dynamics, and hybrid QM/MM methodologies. After completing her PhD, she conducted two postdoctoral research projects: one at the Institute of Physics (IFUSP, University of São Paulo) and another at the Institute of Chemistry (UNESP). As a postdoctoral visiting researcher at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), she worked on graphene single layer and self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) modeling. Recently, her research was focused on QM/MM-NEGF modeling of nanomaterials and electron transfer processes. Beyond her research activities, she is passionate about science communication and has been actively involved in initiatives to make complex scientific concepts more accessible to broader audiences.
