During her master’s training, Luyu was mainly involved in two projects. The first project involved the synthesis of Indoles and Quinolinones. Her main task in this project was to design the synthetic route for these target molecules and carry out their synthesis. The second project focused on the Design, Synthesis and Antitumor Activity Evaluation of a New P53-MDM2 Small Molecular Inhibitor. Her main work was the study of Pd-catalyzed decarboxylative coupling reaction of allyl carbonates. In these projects, she learned to design reactions, optimize reaction conditions, cultivate single crystals, analyze spectra and other techniques. Meanwhile, she also learned theoretical knowledge about pharmaceutical chemistry, computational chemistry, organic spectrum analysis and so on.
