Elena studied the Chemical degree in the University of Sevilla and the University master’s degree in Applied Materials Chemistry from University of Barcelona. Subsequently, she began my Industrial PhD in Homogeneous Catalysis under the direction of Profs. Pedro Pérez and Ana Caballero from University of Huelva and Dr. Jesús J. Lázaro from CEPSA. This last year, I have been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the group “ Homogeneous Catalysis Laboratory” of Prof. Pedro Pérez. During my PhD and my postdoctoral research, I have specialized in the field of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, focusing on the development of catalytic systems for the selective functionalization of alkanes, especially light alkanes under high pressures.
