Couplings with Monoorganotin Compounds: A “Radical” Twist from the Original Stille Reaction

The original Stille protocols for cross-couplings are difficult to recognize in the newer nickel-catalyzed reactions of monoorganotin compounds with secondary alkyl halides (see scheme). This new coupling scheme avoids the formation of toxic byproducts.
