Discovery and development of synthetically useful organometallic methodologies.

Research

The research of the group focuses on discovering the potential of catalytic functionalization of chemical feedstocks and readily available precursors for the synthesis of valuable compounds. The group has contributed extensively to the catalytic functionalization of C-O, C-H, C-C bonds, as well as to the fixation of CO2 to organic matter. These techniques are characterized by their simplicity and broad applicability across a wide number of substrates, including the implementation of late-stage diversification techniques of advanced intermediates.

The main focus of my research is essentially on leveraging the potential of catalysis to come up with new concepts that allow access to compounds with difficult access by conventional techniques.
