We combine the chemistry of small molecules and macromolecules to build functional materials potentially applicable to sustainable development.
We develop stimuli-responsive polymers, which are materials that change properties upon application of an external stimulus, including (but not limited to) heat, light, chemical reagents, and mechanical force. We seek to understand the behavior of our materials both in the presence and absence of the external stimuli by rationally designing (macro)molecular architectures, and combining techniques and knowledge derived from organic and polymer chemistries.

Many of us are the proud fruit of encounters between different cultures. Therefore, our group respects and embraces diversity in all its manifestations. We always try to enrich each other culturally day by day, and because we love to eat, food is always a good excuse to get together. Music is another important form of exchange. Finally, we love to maintain our commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment in our group initiatives.
