Project description

The research group is focused in solar-to-electricity and solar-to-fuel devices with the final aim of rationalizing the relationship between the composition and structure of the component materials, the structure of the multi-layered devices and their final efficiency. Because of this, the expertise of the group covers the whole process from the design and synthesis of the functional molecules to the preparation and characterization of the devices.

The understanding of the charge transfer kinetics in the materials and devices forms part of the expertise of the group as well. This multidisciplinary approach is reflected in the articles published in peer-review journals, that are focused on general chemistry, organic chemistry, energy, environmental science or physics, among others. Our role in the international and national projects where we participate is related as well to our renowned background in the preparation of materials and devices and their photophysical characterization.
