The “Científicas e Innovadoras” platform has included and recognized the professional career of Prof. Mónica H. Pérez-Temprano, ICIQ Group Leader.

Through the Women and Science Unit and in collaboration with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), the Ministry of Science and Innovation wants to give visibility to scientists women and innovators, who are recognized nationally and internationally.

The platform makes visible an extensive panel of great women who, since 2011, have made great contributions in different areas of science and innovation. Thus, a further step is taken in the recognition of all women who contribute to a better future thanks to their work in science and innovation. The platform is also a powerful search engine by names, awards or distinctions, subject area and year.

All of them stand out for their important scientific work in their different disciplines and are benchmarks and inspiration for the new generations of young researchers.

The research career of Prof. Mónica H. Pérez-Temprano has been recognized with several national and international awards, including the 2020 Young Investigator – “Group Leader” award from the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) and the “2018 Talented 12 ” of the Chemical Engineering News magazine that selects since 2015 “12 emerging stars worldwide in the field of Chemistry”.

In addition, Prof. Pérez-Temprano is very committed to scientific dissemination activities to promote the participation of women in science and bring scientific knowledge closer to public opinion, especially among the younger population.
