Pablo Garrido has obtained one of the 25 grants awarded by Obra Social “la Caixa” to pursue doctoral studies in Spain. He will develop his research under the supervision of Prof. A. Llobet.

He will work in the development of novel homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts for water oxidation to oxygen. This reaction is the key step in the development of artificial photosynthesis, a strategy inspired by nature for the production of solar fuels as a sustainable alternative to the current energy system.
