NOAH is an International Training Network (ITN-MSCActions) that brings together research groups with expertise in different areas of knowledge within the field of supramolecular chemistry and molecular containers. Funded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union and coordinated by the Institut Català d’Investigació Química (ICIQ), the school’s scientific programme focuses on the development, characterization, and finding applications for the different types of molecular containers.
The project’s objective is to train ten young researchers in a multidisciplinary field and give them the necessary tools to develop interpersonal skills that will help them face challenges and current problems related to molecular encapsulation, whether that might be in the academic or the industrial field. “These programmes are a great opportunity for young researchers contributing to their skills development and enhancing their career perspectives and employability” explains Gemma Aragay, project manager of the ITN.
A group of ten first-year doctoral students of different nationalities have visited the Covestro facilities in Tarragona, together with their academic and industrial supervisors and Pau Ballester, ICIQ group leader and coordinator of the European NOAH project.
