Over 2500 people gather to celebrate the European Researchers’ Night in Tarragona

The fifth edition of the European Researchers’ Night celebrated on Friday, September 30th, at Tarragona’s Plaça Corsini shattered all records from previous years. With over 2500 attendees and 40 workshops, this outreach activity is a staple on Tarragona’s September-packed calendar.

The European Researchers’ Night is a public event dedicated to the dissemination of science that takes place in 300 cities in 30 European countries at the same time. The event has the double purpose of bringing research and its protagonists closer to the public – and of doing it in an accessible and fun way. Under the theme “Research for change,” ICIQ participated in the event with five workshops and several talks to students and the general public on the days around the main event.
