ICIQ featured in RECERCLIPS video to inspire young scientists

17 March 2025 –  The Department of Research and Universities of Catalan Government has launched Tenim Química!, the fifth video in the RECERCLIPS series, aimed at fostering scientific vocations among young students. The video, featuring influencer Cèlia Espanya, offers an engaging introduction to the advanced research conducted at ICIQ.

Targeting high school students, the video presents ICIQ researchers who explain their work in key areas such as molecular medicine, renewable energy, and sustainable catalysis. Through an accessible and dynamic format, it showcases chemistry’s role in addressing global challenges.

The video features ICIQ PhD students Marina Díaz, Neus Munar, Josep Antoni Orgaz, and Joan Marc Bondia. The conceptualisation and creative direction were developed by Eliptic Agency, along with Laura P. Hernandez Eguía and Marina Vives from ICIQ’s Communication and Outreach team, with the support of the Department of Research and Universities of the Catalan Government.

RECERCLIPS is an annual initiative highlighting leading research institutions in Catalonia. Previous editions have focused on the ALBA Synchrotron, the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), and the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC).

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Department of Research and Universities to promote research and scientific curiosity among students through storytelling, interactive workshops, and educational programmes such as Recerkids, CientífiKs en Joc, and A la Recerca del Món. These initiatives aim to connect young minds with cutting-edge research and inspire future scientists.
