Echavarren's work on natural products highlighted in Synfacts

The paper, published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition, deals with a novel and very efficient synthetic route towards three natural aromadendrane sesquiterpenes. This strategy allowed for the rapid syntheses of all of the compounds in only seven steps with overall yields between 12 and 17 %. This work has been highlighted in Synfacts Vol 10, Issue 07. Synfacts selects the most significant results on synthetic organic chemistry that appear in the literature considered as the future trends in synthetic chemistry.
