New collaboration between ICIQ and industry

ICIQ has signed a  Research Collaboration Agreement with Syngenta, a leading multinational company working in the fields of seeds, seed care and crop protection. The collaboration will last one year and Dr. Alexandr Shafir, ICIQ group leader, will be in charge of the project.

“For us, this collaboration with Syngenta represents a great opportunity to address industrially relevant challenges. We hope that by joining our respective areas of expertise these challenges can be tackled in a synergistic and creative manner. We also wish to contribute to ICIQ’s commitment for creating long-lasting industrial partnerships. Undoubtedly, such collaborations are mutually enriching, helping minimize barriers between industry and academia” -says Dr. Shafir.

Research projects with industries is one of the strategies that ICIQ has defined to maximise the transfer of knowledge and technology developed at the institute. ICIQ currently has 16 research active projects with industry.
