ICIQ ”La Caixa” junior group leader, Dr. Fabio Juliá has been awarded the ‘Young Investigator 2022’ Prize, given annually by Lilly and the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ). This prize distinguishes young Spanish promises under the age of 40 for the excellency of their scientific research and their professional projection.
The award-winning work focuses on using visible light as a source of energy to trigger more sustainable (environmentally and economically) chemical reactions that are used to obtain many products basic for the development of our society. “This award is a great recognition to the work carried out. It is an honour to join the list of previous awardees, who are spearheading chemical research in Spain and globally,” says Juliá.
The ‘Young Investigator 2022 Prize,’ which includes an endowment of 4 000 €, will be awarded during the Biennial Meeting of the RSEQ held in Granada from the 27th until the 30th of June, where Dr. Juliá will receive the prize. To honour the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Lilly-RSEQ Young Investigator prize, a second ceremony will be held at the Spanish Lilly headquarters talk in October where Dr. Juliá has also been invited to give a talk.
