On May 22nd, Prof. Antonio M. Echavarren gave the first of a series of virtual seminars by ICIQ group leaders. He talked about “Gold Carbenes: Applications and Complications” to an audience of 187 people who registered to attend the broadcast via Zoom. Prof. Carles Bo seminar on “New Open-Source Tools to Deal with Molecules and their Reactivity” (May 29th), Prof. Miquel A. Pericàs (June 19th), Dr. Marcos G. Suero (June 26th), Prof. Antoni Llobet (July 10th) and Prof. Julio Lloret-Fillol (July 17th) will complete the ICIQ Group Leaders Seminar Series. This online seminar series is the institute’s adaptation of the ICIQ Seminar Programme in COVID-19 times. The programme, sponsored by BASF, is chaired for this 2019 edition by Dr. Elisabet Romero and co-chaired by Prof. Paolo Melchiorre, both ICIQ group leaders.
