The Falling Walls Lab is a challenging, inspiring and interdisciplinary format for outstanding talents. It offers the opportunity to excellent academics and professionals to present their innovative ideas, research projects and social initiatives. All disciplines are welcome.
It is a pleasure for us to announce that our Ignacio Funes (Prof. Maseras’ group) is one of the 20 finalists who will present their ideas during the national finals, that will take place in Barcelona on September 12th. In less than 3 minutes, Funes will try to convince the audience, and a panel of experts in science and business, that computational chemistry is a competitive tool to discover how to use water as a fuel source. The jury will then select a winner who will qualify directly to the international finals in Berlin (November 7-9, 2017).
The event in Barcelona is co-organised by the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) in cooperation with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Congratulations and good luck, Ignacio!
