Beilstein TV is supporting the advancement of scientific communication by producing videos of research laboratory experiments, lectures and interviews with scientists. In this way, Beilstein TV gives chemistry and research a special spin by adding important visual and verbal aspects to scientific publications. This is an innovative method to ‘put a face’ on chemistry and research because as they say: Science is not only about facts, it is also about the people.
In this terms, Miquel Pericàs and Antonio Echavarren were invited to produce a video that would explain some of the chemistry that is carried out in their research labs.
Prof. Pericàs’ research group video explains the results recently published in a Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry paper on ‘Continuous-flow enantioselective α-aminoxylation of aldehydes catalyzed by a polystyrene-immobilized hydroxyproline’.
On the other hand, the video by Prof. Echavarren and his team presents a procedure for the generation of an air- and moisture-stable cationic gold complex from its chloride precursor.
Congratulations to both of these teams on a very professional and dynamic audiovisual.
