‘Control of Remote Stereochemistry in the Synthesis of Spirocyclic Oxindoles: Vinylogous Organocascade Catalysis‘ published by Paolo Melchiorre’s research group has become paper number 1000 published at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia.
ICIQ was created in 2004 with initially 9 research groups. Since then, our research institute has experienced a continuos growth and today ICIQ counts with 19 group leaders who manage excellent teams of PhD students, Post-docs and technicians. Together with Esteve and Henkel joint units, Crysforma and CSOL, ICIQ develops high quality research and innovation, as proven by its Hirsch index of 75.
The number of publications has increased considerably, maintaining the quality of the research throughout these years.
‘One thousand publications in nine years is an impressive record for an institution starting from scratch. It tells a lot on the effort and dedication of our present and past researchers and group leaders, and the Institute is indebted to all of them.’ – says Miquel A. Pericàs, director of ICIQ.
‘In any case, even more important than the figure (1k!) is the quality and impact of these publications, reflected in an institution Hirsch index of 75. Reaching our next bibliometric frontier (h = 100) will take a while, but I hope we will be able to celebrate it soon!’ – he adds.
The most cited papers each year have been the following:
