In slightly more than one year the paper “Aromatic Trifluoromethylation with Metal Complexes”, by Olesya A. Tomashenko and Vladimir V. Grushin (Chem. Rev. 2011, 111, 4475-4521) has received 70 citations.
With Grushin’s et al. paper being cited 70 times, the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) achieves a h index = 70 in eight years of research activity.

The h-index (Hirsh index) mesures both the productivity and impact of a scientist, a scholarly journal or an institution. It is intended to measure simultaneously the quality and quantity of scientific output.

ICIQ started its research activities in 2004 with 9 research groups. Nowadays, the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia has doubled in size with 18 group leaders and nearly 1000 publications in scholarly journals that have been cited more than 25000 times.
