Carla Casadevall, Laura Velasco and Adrian Brenes have participated during this edition to disseminate science in an informal and relaxed atmosphere
The Pint of Science festival is back to unite science and the community in an informal relaxed atmosphere. The event has taken place from 22nd to 24th May and has been hosted in various locals and bars across Tarragona city.
Pint of Science was founded by two researchers from the University of Cambridge in 2013. This initiative, aimed to bring science to the public in an accessible and entertaining way, has rapidly grown and now is celebrated worldwide.
Over three days, scientists and researchers from ICIQ, URV and other research institutes shared their discoveries and knowledge with the public, inviting everyone to engage in lively conversations.
First day, Dr. Carla Casadevall, ICIQ Associated Researcher shed light on innovative solutions for greener future. On the other hand, Laura Velasco, Master student at ICIQ was other of the speakers during this year event. She made a dissertation about the compartmentalized CO2 reduction. To finish, Adrian J. Brenes from Martin’s Group, guided the audience through an exploration of the fundamental principles and application of light-matter interactions. Incredible insights from ICIQ’s talk during these days. Congratulations to all of you!
Pint of Science promotes open dialogue, fostering scientific curiosity and inspiring the audience to explore and better understand the world. The festival is possible thanks to collaborative efforts of scientists and volunteers dedicated to science dissemination.
