ICIQ is one of the 17 institutions that have obtained the economic award within the Program CONSOLIDER-INGENIO 2010. This Program consists of a set of R+D promotion and consolidation actions, which are directed to Spanish research teams with a high international renown and quality level. Moreover, this Program is intended to promote that scientists of different R+D centres could work in close collaboration.The title of the approved project is Design of catalysts for a sustainable chemistry: An integrated approach (INTECAT) and it is composed of 13 research groups, 10 of them ICIQ researchers, and the rest consists of renowned scientists of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Universidad de Valladolid and Universidad de Zaragoza. The Coordinator Researcher of the project is Prof. Miquel A. Pericàs, Director of ICIQ.

The Program CONSOLIDER-INGENIO 2010 is aimed to become a step forward in different areas of Science, and tries to increase and to consolidate the research activities which, because of their dimension, are not sufficiently covered by the usual calls of the current National Plan of R+D+i.
