ICIQ grieves the loss of Jaime Gómez

El ICIQ se une al dolor de la familia, amigos y compa The ICIQ shares the grief of the family, friends and colleagues of Jaime Gomez, who died yesterday in a mountaineering accident in the Alps.

Jaime was born in Madrid in 1977 and conducted his doctoral studies (2006-2010) in the group of Prof. Nuria Lopez. He defended his PhD thesis entitled “First-Principles Studies of Ammonia mechanistic-related Industrial Processes” in January 2011 and then, he joined the Institute of Physical Chemistry (University of Zurich) where he was currently on a postdoctoral stay in the group of Prof. Jürg Hutter.

Jaime was a mountain lover and he could combine his two great passions in Zurich: Chemistry and contact with nature.
