The Awards ceremony will take place at the end of October in Alcalá de Henares, where Prof. Julio Lloret-Fillol will give a keynote lecture to celebrate the award
Prof. Julio Lloret-Fillol, group leader and ICREA professor has been recognized with the GEQO Research Excellence Award for his exceptional scientific achievements in the field of electrochemistry and catalysis.
The prestigious GEQO Awards 2023 honoring remarkable achievements in the field of organometallics. The Awards are organized by the Organometallic Chemistry Specialist Group (GEQO) of the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (Real Sociedad Española de Química), who celebrated the exceptional work and dedication of scientists and researchers in the advancing field of chemistry. Lloret-Fillol’s pioneering work has led to significant advancements in the development of efficient and sustainable energy conversion technologies. Concretely, the jury recognized ICIQ’s Group Leader for his extraordinary contributions to the development of organometallic compounds of photo- and electrochemical catalysis of interest in organic synthesis, hydrogen generation rom water and CO2 reduction. Moreover, they esteemed for his noteworthy work in technology transfer.
The other awardees were Dr. Miquel Costas Salgueiro who received the Rafael Usón Medal and Dr. Alba Collado who was bestowed with GEQO Young Investigators Award.
The GEQO Awards 2023 serve as a testament to the dedication and excellence exhibited by these esteemed scientists, as well as their commitment to pushing the boundaries of knowledge in the field of chemistry.
Congratulations to our own Julio Lloret-Fillol on this well-deserved recognition for his exceptional achievements!
