The Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ), at its latest edition of the RSEQ 2015 awards, has awarded professors Núria López, Kilian Muñiz, Ruben Martin and Julio Lloret-Fillol in two different award categories.
Núria López, Kilian Muñiz and Ruben Martin have been awarded with the Premio a la Excelencia Investigadora. This award recognizes the scientific achievements of the awardees in the last five years. Prof. López, ERC grant holder, works on atomistic simulations to understand the mechanisms that govern chemical processes in heterogeneous catalysis; Prof. Muñiz, ICREA Reserach Professor, is developing a new methodology for oxidative amination of hydrocarbons and Prof. Martin, ICREA Research Professor and ERC grant holder, focuses his research on the discovery of new catalytic methods for the synthesis of relevant molecules through the activation of inert entities.
Julio Lloret-Fillol has been awarded with one of the Premios a Jóvenes Investigadores for his promising leadership in his field of expertise: Solar fuels production and new light-driven catalytic transformations of organic substrates.
