• ICIQ-BASF Seminar Programme

  ICIQ-BASF Seminar Programme represents a dynamic collaboration between the ICIQ and BASF, highlighting significant advances in chemical research and development. Initiated in 2004, features a series of specialized seminars covering diverse topics related to ICIQ’s research areas. Each session, led by international experts, provides a platform for knowledge exchange and exploration of the latest trends in the field of chemistry, strengthening the connection between academic research and industry. Private group meetings further allow interaction among students and researchers working in similar domains.

• ICIQ School

  The ICIQ School unites graduate and postdoctoral researchers worldwide to attend plenary conferences conducted by distinguished chemists. These conferences cover various aspects of chemical research, catalysis, mechanistic insights, and innovative methods for synthesizing crucial building blocks in pharmaceutical and academic settings. Graduate students also showcase their research in poster sessions, fostering connections with peers from diverse institutions.

• International Conferences

  ICIQ encourages and facilitates the participation of graduate and postdoctoral researchers in both national and international conferences. These platforms offer opportunities for presenting talks and posters, further amplifying their exposure and networking opportunities.

• Hands-on Training Activities

  Providing practical training on the utilization of ICIQ’s advanced scientific instrumentation, such as nuclear magnetic resonance, spectroscopy, or automated reactors. Additionally, researchers receive specialized training in interpreting analytical data, enhancing their proficiency in techniques like X-ray diffraction and high-resolution mass spectrometry.

• Transferable Skills Courses

  Our tailored skills development programme covers crucial abilities essential at every career stage. We particularly focus in the improvement of scientific writing and oral presentations, time management, entrepreneurship and leadership. Moreover, ICIQ counts with a Career Development Service aiming at self-assessment, definition of career profiles and knowledge of external labour market.

• Language Courses

  Recognizing the importance of language proficiency, we provide language courses in Catalan, Spanish, and English to our staff members free of charge. This facilitates effective communication and a truly international research environment.
