One of the latest publications by Ruben Martin‘s team, dealing with the Fe-catalysed skeletal rearrangement of aldehydes to ketones, enters the list of August most downloaded papers from the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS).
The paper focuses on the regiodivergent catalytic skeletal rearrangement via [1,2]-shift of α-aryl aldehydes using simple, abundant, and nontoxic iron salts as catalysts. They can switch the selectivity of the product by electronic e?ects.
This is the third paper by Dr. Martin and his team that becomes most accessed paper in JACS this year. You can read more about the other most downloaded publications here and here.
Additionally, two other ICIQ papers published in this flagship journal remain within the most accessed papers of the year.
