Organosilicon Compounds for Salt-free Reduction of Metal Compounds, Generating Catalytically Active Species

Lecture is concerning to a conceptionally new methodology for generating low-valent catalytically active metal species in a salt-free manner upon using 3,6‑bis(trimethylsilyl)‑1,4‑cyclohexadiene and 1,4-bis(trimethylsilyl)-1,4-dihydropyrazine as well as their derivatives as versatile reducing reagents.
