The article Proline-Derived Aminotriazole Ligands: Preparation and Use in the Ruthenium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Transfer Hydrogenation , authored by Dr. X.C. Cambeiro and Prof. M.A. Pericàs and published in Adv.Synth.Catal. 2011, 353, 113-124, has been selected by the Editorial Board of SYNFACTS for its important insights.
In this work, the authors describe the preparation and catalytic performance of a new class of chiral aminotriazole ligands. In order to examine the catalytic performance of these new ligands, synthesized from cooper-catalyzed click chemistry, they are applied in the ruthenium-catalyzed asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ketones and good results are obtained after careful optimization.
