The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ-CERCA) supports the deep tech start-up ecosystem by offering services, space and equipment to start-ups, incubators, accelerators, venture capital firms and investors interested in developing disruptive technologies in sustainability, energy, hydrogen, catalysis, materials or biotech.

The centre provides solutions to various challenges, such as scientific advice, laboratory space or highly qualified scientific support, improving the competitiveness and the scientific quality of their products developed by the companies.

• Start-ups: Whether you are leading a start-up in a scale-up phase and requires additional laboratory space or need access to cutting-edge equipment and professional expertise to develop your project, this option offers you advantages to develop your technology and business plan.  This collaboration perfectly fits the Proof of Concept and Technology Development phases, with high risk and limited resources, initiating your operations in a new place.

• Investors, Venture Capital, Incubators or Accelerators:  If you are dealing with a disruptive technology but don’t have the required facilities to develop the project or support the spin-off, or if you have received some interesting applications but don’t have expert advisors in the field, this option can provide a great solution. It also applies if you want to support an outstanding project or have a business plan but lack the proper facilities to develop the technology. This collaboration is perfect for hosting your deep tech companies or disruptive projects during the Proof of Concept, Development or Expansion phases.
