Leonardo Pagliano

PhD Student

His work experience is mainly related to his master degree thesis (supervisor: prof. Vittorio Pace) in which he was able to handle a lot of different organometallic species such as organolithium, tin, copper, zinc, magnesium, silanes and also cross-coupling reactions. He has also worked on the synthesis of a drug, so he is familiar with common organic transformations. Of course he used basic software (chemdraw, mestrenova, reaxys, sci-finder…) during this period so he is familiar with the basics of such programmes. He also has a bit of experience in teaching as he was able to work with prof. Dughera (Organic Chemistry I course, first year)) in the preparation of exercise sessions which he held as a tutor. As for analysis instruments, he is familiar with NMR and GC-MS.
