Martha Segura earned her PhD from URV in 2012. She has since contributed to various international research projects, serving as a Research Fellow at the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton (UK) from 2012 to 2014, followed by roles as a Laser Development Engineer at TRUMPF-UK from 2016 to 2018, and as a Senior Research Fellow at Politecnico di Torino from 2020 to 2022. In 2022, Martha was awarded with a Beatriu de Pinos Fellowship to explore novel glass materials at URV. She currently holds the position of Research Projects Management.
