After completing a 4-year undergraduate degree in Chemistry and a 2-year master’s degree in modern technologies of Analytical and Environmental Chemistry, in 2022, Maria obtained her PhD in Analytical Chemistry at University of Ioannina in Greece. Her thesis focused on the production of nanoparticles of conductive materials by electrical discharge and the development of modified screen-printed electrochemical sensors for chemical analysis. Until now, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry of University of Ioannina in Greece. During her PhD and postdoctoral research, she has worked as Research Assistant on two scientific programmes. Her extensive research in the field of electrochemical sensing has primarily focused on the development of innovative electrochemical sensors and the production of nanostructures through electrical discharge for use as advanced sensing platforms.
