Last April 9th awards for high school research project in the field of Chemistry were delivered in the Catalan Studies Institute central office. The awards ceremony took place in the framework of the XXVI Discussion of Chemistry at the Catalan Studies Institute addressed to high school and university teachers that this year has focused on the periodic table of elements.
A number of 103 research projects have been assessed. The project by José Andrés Ballester (student at Jaume Vicens Vives high school, Girona) entitled ‘Efecte dels espectres d’absorció en l’eficiència de cèl·lules solars sensibilitzades amb colorant’ and supervised by Laia Pellejà (Prof. Palomares group) was awarded 2nd prize. That would allow Jose to do a science internship at ICIQ.
