We are very happy to announce that Prof. Rubén Martín has recently been awarded two very prestigious international prizes. He received an invitation to participate as one of the selected lecturers of the «2018-2019 Novartis Chemistry Lectureship» conference cycle. The Novartis award recognises outstanding contributions to organic and computational chemistry, including applications to biology, and the lectures pursue the goal of enhancing the exposure of Novartis scientists to cutting edge chemistry. As part of this recognition, Prof. Martín will deliver two invited talks at the Novartis sites in Basel, Switzerland, and Cambridge, United States.
Moreover, the Royal Society of Chemistry selected Prof. Martín as the first winner ever of the «Chem Soc Rev Pioneering Investigator Lectureship». This award acknowledges mid-career scientists who have firmly established themselves in their independent careers, continuously publish innovative work, and have pioneered several research areas. Prof. Martín will be invited to present a lecture at three different locations over the next year, and he will also be invited to contribute with a review article for Chemical Society Reviews.
