Sobre nosaltres

El Prof. Ramón Vilar va cursar el màster en Química a la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Després es va traslladar a l’Imperial College de Londres, on va obtenir el seu doctorat en Química el 1996 i més tard va començar la seva carrera de professor.

Des d’abril de 2004 fins a desembre de 2005, va ser cap de grup a l’ICIQ.

Ramón Vilar és actualment catedràtic de Química Inorgànica Medicinal i actualment és Director de Recerca del Departament de Química de l’Imperial College de Londres.

El Grup Vilar està interessat en desenvolupar noves eines moleculars per estudiar sistemes biològics. Amb aquest objectiu, estem actius en diverses àrees de recerca àmplies, com ara la química sintètica (orgànica i inorgànica), la caracterització espectroscòpica i biofísica, la biologia química i el reconeixement molecular.

El Prof. Ramón Vilar és membre de la Royal Society of Chemistry, American Chemical Society.

Ha publicat més de 125 articles científics en revistes internacionals (índex H: 40).
