On September 5th, 2014 he defended his thesis entitled “Towards More Sustainable Chemical Processes: Studies on Covalent and Non-covalent Catalyst Immobilization” On December 2014 he started working at the Peking University in Beijing, China with a joint position between Prof. Peng Chen and Prof. Zhang-Jie Shi. His research is focussed on the application of the Pd-catalyzed […]
Fernández, Héctor
On 1st September 209 Héctor defended his thesis entitled “Towards Highly Efficient Ligands for Asymmetric Hydrogenations: a Covalent Modular Approach and Investigations into Bio-inspired Supramolecular Strategies” and afterwards he worked on covalent and supramolecular modular approaches to catalysis and was the group’s laboratory coordinator.
Fernández, Víctor
Víctor got his B. Sc. in Chemistry from Universidad Central de Venezuela, then moved to Tarragona to study a master (URV) and joined Prof. Feliu Maseras’ group as a Ph.D. student . Víctor was awarded his Ph.D. on March 13th 2017. He carried out computational studies on the mechanism of light-driven reactions in solution.
Ferrer, Sofía
Sofia worked on the development of new enantioselective metal-catalyzed reactions.
Flores, Noelia
Fra, Laura
Laura worked on iodine(III)-promoted amination reactions.
Francàs, Laia
Funes, Ignacio
Ignacio was a Severo Ochoa fellow. He studied computationally the synthesis of organic bonds, and the mechanism of oxidation coupling reactions. Ignacio is a fantastic science communicator and represented ICIQ in contests and outreach events (he still collaborates with ICIQ’s Communication Unit).
Galan, Albano
Albano works on design of molecular containers based on calix[4]pyrrole scaffolds with covalent and self-assembled structures and their application as molecular flasks.
