Dr. Duarte will prepare chromophore-protein systems for further investigation using spectroscopic techniques. These tasks consist of the preparation of protein and chromophore solutions, their subsequent mixing and purification, as well as their investigation by Absorption, Fluorescence, Circular Dichroism, Linear Dichroism, Stark; and by time-resolved techniques: transient absorption and two-dimensional electron spectroscopy.
