Barcelona International Youth Science Challenge
BIYSC is an international scientific challenge event, that aims to connect the most passionate science students with the best researchers. BIYSC was created by the Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera to accomplish four main objectives:
- Inspire bright young scientists to apply their minds to multi-disciplinary research.
- Engage young researchers to like-minded peers and eminent scientific leaders through close and personal interactive sessions.
- Empower participants to pursue their research passions.
- Challenge future scientists to drive their passion with attitude.
The ICIQ is one of the research centres participating in this challenge. ICIQ offers the research project entitled “Photochemistry: Hands-on training in molecular spectroscopy” A workshop where participants will learn how to copy the natural photosynthesis process in the lab to discover different ways to use and store solar energy.
