ICIQ signs an agreement with ONCE and Repsol foundations to incorporate a postdoctoral researcher

21st January 2014 – The agreement, signed last December 19th in Madrid, states that Repsol and ONCE foundations will contribute with €30,000 each to fund the research that Dr. Oier Lakuntza will carry out at ICIQ over a period of 2 years.

Dr. Lakuntza joined Prof. Feliu Maseras’ group on January 13^th to work on the development of algorithms for automated construction of input files for DFT calculations . With this agreement, ICIQ benefits from incorporating a brilliant researcher while Repsol and ONCE foundations meet the objective of promoting the research career of a disabled person .

The experience of Dr. Lakuntza in the ICIQ is not new. In 2010 he made a stay in this same research group for his PhD. It was during this stay of three months that he granted us an interview for ICIQ’s newsletter .
